Celebrating Earth Day

The City of Flemington was delighted to participate in Earth Day again this year with our sustainable bamboo booth.  Those young and old all enjoyed learning about bamboo and 75 lucky folks got a bamboo walking sticks!  A fun part of the experience was the children being able to show how tall they would be if they were bamboo as bamboo can grow up to 5 feet per year.  Mayor Paul Hawkins, Councilman Larry Logan and Holly Kennedy represented the City and did a wonderful job despite the heat!  We hope to see you all at Earth Day next year!
