Flemington was chartered in 1941 by an act of legislature of the State of Georgia. In accordance with its Charter,

the city is governed by a duly elected Mayor and six Council members.

Flemington has the best of both worlds – it’s close to the coast, yet adjacent to Hinesville’s bustling streets and shops.

It boasts great schools and quiet neighborhoods. There are many hotels and restaurants in the area.

Flemington gives you the feel of easy, coastal living while still being close to all of the activities a larger city has to offer.
