Building Permits & Inspections

Building permits and inspections in the City of Flemington is provided via intergovernmental agreement by the Liberty County Building and Licensing Department.  The Building & Licensing Department has the primary responsibility of issuing building permits and maintaining flood plain management for the unincorporated area of Liberty County as well as the City of Flemington.

When Permits Are Required

Permits are required to construct:

• Accessory buildings
• Churches
• Commercial buildings
• Mobile homes
• Renovations
• Signs
• Single-family houses

Permits are required for demolitions or relocations of any of these. This office conducts all inspections required by the building codes of the State of Georgia for these projects.
